    Effective Date: May 26, 2026

MODEO LLC ("MODEO," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FamilyCheck medication reminder service ("Service"), including our website at family-checker.com and all related applications.

    Technical Data

    • Browser storage: Authentication tokens stored in your browser's local storage (not cookies)
    • IP addresses: Collected for rate limiting and security purposes
    • Analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, on our public marketing pages only (such as the homepage, Privacy, Terms, and SMS consent pages) — never on caregiver or patient dashboards. Analytics collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, referrer, browser type) and no personal or health information. No cookies are set and no cross-site tracking occurs.

    2. How We Use Your Information

    We use collected information to:

    • Provide automated AI voice call medication reminders to patients
    • Place consent verification calls to patients before starting the service
    • Send real-time medication compliance alerts to caregivers via WhatsApp, SMS text message, and email
    • Authenticate caregiver accounts via email verification codes
    • Display medication compliance history and trends in the caregiver dashboard
    • Process subscription payments and manage trial periods
    • Monitor service health and troubleshoot technical issues
    • Protect against abuse (rate limiting, phone number blocking after repeated consent declines)
    • Improve the quality of our AI voice interactions
    • Communicate service updates, policy changes, and important notices

    3. Communications

By using FamilyCheck, caregivers and enrolled patients consent to receive the following communications:

    • Patients: Automated AI voice calls and SMS text messages for medication reminders and consent verification
    • Caregivers: Email messages (verification codes, welcome emails, consent outcomes, compliance summaries) and WhatsApp / SMS text messages (real-time call outcomes, missed dose alerts, urgent concern alerts)

Message frequency varies based on the number of patients enrolled and their medication schedules. A caregiver managing one patient with two daily medications may receive 2-4 notifications per day. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

Opt-out: Caregivers may pause or deactivate patients at any time from the dashboard to stop notifications. Patients may decline the service during any call, or reply STOP to any SMS to opt out of text messages immediately. Reply HELP to any SMS for help. To fully opt out, contact us at [email protected].
